Breathtaking landscapes, ancient culture, and pure adventure – that’s the Northern Territory in Australia’s far north. Vast, wild, and full of untold stories, it's a dream destination for young travelers. But how do they get it on the radar of Gen Z in Europe?
To make this unique place stand out, we teamed up with the Northern Territory to launch a social media campaign focused on lead generation – and made sure it spoke the right language.

Challenge & solution Australia is far away – and let’s face it, not exactly cheap. So how do you convince a generation that’s still in uni, on a gap year, or figuring out what’s next, to pack a backpack and head to the other side of the world? The answer: with the Backpacking Academy.
The Northern Territory came up with this playful academy concept that connected the idea of studying with the adventure of traveling. Users could sign up for a newsletter and apply for a Working Holiday Visa. For the German market, we developed the right story and found the perfect travel influencer to create short, relatable videos for social media that hit the tone and timing perfectly.
The result? A campaign that took of – and with a cost of just €4.85 per acquired lead, it was as efficient as it was inspiring. Big impact, Northern Territory style.
